Abstract:
PURPOSE: To record a picture in a suitable recording mode by individually setting up whether an economy mode function is to be set up or not in accordance with the reception of facsimile (FAX) data or print data.
CONSTITUTION: This FAX equipment with a printer function is provided with an economy control means for recording an output picture in a RAM 92 in an economy mode for suppressing the use of an image forming coloring agent and a setting means capable of individually setting up whether the economy control means is to be functioned or not in accordance with the reception of FAX data or print data. The setting means is provided with a memory for setting up whether recording based upon the economy mode is to be executed or not and the set contents can be changed by operation from an operation panel 14 or a command transmitted from an external equipment. Thereby even when the economy mode is set up by the setting means, a FAX image is not recorded by the economy mode and the consumption of toner or the like can be suppressed in the printing of print data.
