Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration method that improves accuracy of camera parameters to be calculated with consideration to parallax of a direction different from a base line direction.SOLUTION: A calibration method is configured to: stereoscopically image a checker-patterned calibrator; a distance on a subject corresponding to two points on an image to be calculated on the basis of parallax between images in a first direction of a camera, a first evaluation value being a difference between a real distance on the subject and the distance thereon, and a second evaluation value on the basis of second parallax being parallax between images in a second direction different from the first direction; and calculate a camera parameter so as to minimize the first and second evaluation values.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
