Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system for a vehicle, that enables minute image reproducibility around the vehicle under a condition of being dark and minimizes an influence on color fidelity under a condition of being bright.SOLUTION: A camera system for a vehicle comprises: an imaging unit 2 that includes an image sensor 4, an optical element 3, and at least one infrared cut filter 5 and acquires image data on a subject 7; an arithmetic processing unit 8 that makes the subject be displayed on a display unit 9 by processing the image data acquired from the imaging unit; and at least one illumination unit 10 that illuminates the subject with light 12 having wavelengths that are at least partially included in an upper region of human eye sensitivity and at least partially included in a region lower than the infrared cut filter's cutoff limit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
