Abstract:
To provide a transmission belt canvas with joint portions constructed to be superior in joint strength and hard to crack without generating abnormal sounds and vibration on a back pulley and causing the separation of canvas sheets after certain-distance travel.
The transmission belt canvas is formed of blended yarns of cotton fibers and thermoplastic synthetic fibers. It comprises the plurality of canvas sheets joined together into a long size. At the joint portions of the canvas sheets adjacent to each other, the thermoplastic synthetic fibers are welded together and the cotton fibers engage with each other while keeping the yarns in shape.
