Abstract:
To provide an electric double layer capacitor that has a simple structure but does not cause a current collector to delaminate even when subjected to high voltages.SOLUTION: A capacitor configuration portion 10 of the electric double layer capacitor 30 includes a separator 12, two polarizable electrodes 14 provided one on each side of the separator 12, two current collectors 16 provided one each on outside of the two polarizable electrodes 14, and electrolyte in contact with the two polarizable electrodes 14. The current collector 16 has a liquid permeable reinforcing sheet 26 and an expanded graphite sheet 24 stacked thereon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
