Abstract:
To provide a capping head: capable of mounting a cap to one of containers having plural sizes of aperture; generating no abrasion powders by using magnets as urging means; excellent in durability; and capable of downsizing the magnets.SOLUTION: Plural chuck members 34 of a capping head of this invention are disposed to encircle a cap and each includes a first engaging part 34a that engages with an outer peripheral face of a first cap having a relatively small diameter and a second engaging part 34b that engages with an outer peripheral face of a second cap having a relatively large diameter. The chuck members 34 can sway around respective sway axles 33 as a center parallel to an axle center of the first cap or second cap. A first magnet 71 is provided in a first cylindrical part 61 of one of the chuck members 34 and is auto-rotatable around a rotation axle. A second magnet 72 is provided in a second cylindrical part 62 and is auto-rotatable around a rotation axle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
