Abstract:
To provide a vehicle body assembly line making it possible to markedly reduce a starting time, which is required to initiate smooth production of vehicles, as well as expenses and man-hours.SOLUTION: A vehicle body assembly line includes a first transport path 14 along which a transport cart 22 capable of mounting a component P onto a vehicle body B is guided on a floor 12, a second transport path 20 along which a transport hanger 24 capable of mounting a component P from below the vehicle body B with the vehicle body B suspended is guided, a transfer lifer 28 that is located at an engagement position 16 between the first and second transport paths 14 and 20, and moves the vehicle body B between the transport cart 22 and transport hanger 24, and a vehicle body measurement machine 40 that is disposed near the transfer lifter 28 and measures the shape of the vehicle body B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
