Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for an exhaust gas purification catalyst having superior performances and an exhaust gas purification catalyst using the same.SOLUTION: The provided carrier for an exhaust gas purification catalyst is a carrier for an exhaust gas purification catalyst obtained by supporting CeOnanoparticles on ZrOparticles wherein at least one of the CeOnanoparticles has a cubic or rectangular parallelepiped automorphic crystal shape and includes a CZ solid solution; a catalyst obtained by supporting, on the provided carrier, metal particulates selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd, Rh, Au, Cu, Fe, and Ni and/or oxides thereof is also provided.
