Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast covering member which permits application as a cylinder sleeve having improved adhesion and thermal conductivity with other metal (for example, cylinder block) for cast-covering a cast covering member.SOLUTION: A cast covering member as the cast covering member cast-covered by other metal according to casting has a plurality of protrusions protruded to the other metal side on a cast covering surface which is brought into contact with molten metal of the other metal upon casting. Therein, the plurality of protrusions exist respectively on the cast covering surface independently from each other, each of the plurality of protrusions includes a root part which constitutes a part arranged closely to the cast covering surface of the protrusion, a summit part which constitutes a part arranged closely to the other metal of the protrusion and a constriction part which constitutes a part between the root part and the summit part, each of the plurality of protrusions has a constricted shape over the summit part from the root part due to the constriction part and the summit part has a grafted structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
