Abstract:
To provide a castable refractory that is made of alumina fine powder and alumina cement and suppresses inflation of a matrix part caused by CA2 formation at 1,100-1,200°C without limiting the used amount of the alumina cement to an excessively small amount.SOLUTION: A castable refractory contains water and a fire-resistant composition made of aggregate of a grain diameter of 1 mm or more and fire-resistant fine powder of a grain diameter less than 1 mm. The fire-resistant fine powder of a grain diameter less than 1 mm contains alumina cement, alumina fine powder, and zinc oxide fine powder, wherein the alumina cement has an Al2O3 component of 70 mass% or more. The fire-resistant composition of 100 mass% is blended with the alumina cement of 8 mass% or more and less than 50 mass% and the zinc oxide fine powder of 0.5 mass% or more and less than 25 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
