Abstract:
To provide a backrest of a chair that can prevent positional deviation and falling of a decorative member with respect to a backrest body, is excellent in appearance, and is high in design properties, and to provide a chair having the backrest.SOLUTION: A backrest of a chair includes a backrest body, a backrest support member, a decorative member, and a gap forming member disposed between the rear surface of the backrest body and the front surface of the decorative member. The backrest includes an engaging part provided to one of the backrest body and the decorative member, and an engaged part provided to the other of the backrest body and the decorative member, with which the engaging part engages. In a state that the engaging part and the engaged part are in engagement, the gap forming member regulates displacement of the decorative member in a direction approaching the backrest body, and forms a gap between the outer peripheral edge of the decorative member and the backrest body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
