Abstract:
To provide a method for forming a channel part where, upon formation of a channel part at the inside of the induction heating apparatus of a pig iron storage furnace, even when the thickness of the sintered layer of a ramming material is uniformly formed, infiltration to the ramming material is prevented, and molten pig iron storage is repeatedly performed, the thickness of the sintered layer of the ramming material is uniformly grown, and infiltration can be prevented.SOLUTION: A metallic core is arranged at a position to be formed with a channel part 9 in an induction heating apparatus 5, a ramming material 7 is filled into a gap formed of the metallic core, the outer shell 6 of the induction heating apparatus and a coil 8, compacting is performed, thereafter, the induction heating apparatus is disposed at a pig iron storage furnace not stored with a pig iron, the metallic core is fused by induction heating, a molten metal is charged to the pig iron storage furnace, the molten metal is held within the range of 1,200 to 1,400°C by induction heating, and the ramming material is fired by heat transfer from the molten metal to form a channel part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
