Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface that allows a user to conveniently make a keyboard-input at a terminal having a touchscreen on a relatively large screen.SOLUTION: A method and an apparatus for providing a character input interface are provided. According to an embodiment, the method of providing a character input interface in a terminal having a touchscreen includes steps of: simultaneously displaying a first keyboard in a first region and a second keyboard including second keyboard language selection keys in a second region via the touchscreen in a character inputting mode; and changing the language of the second keyboard to a language corresponding to a second keyboard language selection key that has been touched, while maintaining the language of the first keyboard when a touch input on the second keyboard language selection key is received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
