Abstract:
To provide an air circuit breaker of which the operational reliability is high even under a freezing environment.SOLUTION: A charge method for an air circuit breaker includes: a freezing determination step of determining a possibility of freezing in an electrically-driven charge mechanism 21; a drive system selection step for selecting a normal drive system when the possibility of freezing is determined low, or selecting a drive system for freezing countermeasure when the possibility of freezing is determined high, as a drive system of a drive motor 25; and a drive step of driving the drive motor 25 in accordance with the drive system selected in the drive system selection step. In the drive system for freezing countermeasure, a rotation direction of the drive motor 25 is iteratively inverted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
