PURPOSE: To devise a door wiper to wipe off soil attached on a door of an elevator capable of automatically wiping off soil of the door at the time of opening and closing the door by installing a wiping member on a board material provided on a member opposed to a surface of the door free to reove.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of side jams 2 is provided on both sides of a hall side gateway of an elevator, and a pair of doors 4 is suspended free to open and close along a guide rail installed on these side jams 2. In this case, a door wiper 6 to wipe off soil attached on a door surface 4a is provided on each of the side jams 2 free to remove. This door wiper 6 has a wholly slender and rectangular steel plate (board material) 7, an engagement groove 7a formed on its one side is engaged with a screw 9, and it is fixed by fastening this screw 9. Soil on a door surface is wiped off by a thick plate type sponge (wiping member) 8 adhered on the other end side of this steel plate 7.
