PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable pickup of a chip such as an electronic component without using an adsorption nozzle.SOLUTION: A chip transfer device 1 for transferring a chip 2 conveyed by a first conveyance machine 10 to a second conveyance machine 24 comprises: a traveling guide 110 formed in a shape of a closed path when viewed from above, and disposed in the vicinity of the first conveyance machine 10 and the second conveyance machine 20; a moving body 40 traveling along the traveling guide 110; a clamp mechanism 50 provided in the moving body 40 so as to be openable and closable in a lateral direction; and an opening/closing operation cam 120 provided along the traveling guide 110 for opening and closing the clamp mechanism 50. When the moving body 40 travels on the first conveyance machine 10 side of the traveling guide 110, the opening/closing operation cam 120 closes the clamp mechanism 50 and the clamp mechanism 50 clamps the chip 2 conveyed by the first conveyance machine 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
