Abstract:
To provide a cleaning method for a molding made of a magnesium alloy which can easily remove a carbonized deposit, has excellent recycling properties, and further has a reduced environmental load.
A carbonized deposit deposited on the surface of a molding made of a magnesium alloy is irradiated with a laser beam and the deposit is removed, and thus, the molding made of the magnesium alloy is subjected to cleaning. The molding made of the magnesium alloy, cleaned in this way is hot-melted and is then cooled, thus an ingot made of a magnesium alloy is produced.
