Abstract:
To provide a clutch that transmits the power of forward/reverse rotation from an input shaft to an output shaft, but with respect to the rotation of the output shaft which tends to rotate in the same direction with the input shaft, idles and does not transmit the same to the input shaft.SOLUTION: Two planetary gear mechanisms 8 connected to an output shaft 6 are arranged to be axially overlapped with each other, and sun gears 38 of the respective planetary gear mechanisms 8 are connected to an output shaft 6 via one-way clutches 36 that are set to idle in opposite directions to each other. When an input shaft 4 rotates, according to the rotation direction thereof, one of the planetary gear mechanisms 8 rotates integrally with the output shaft 6, and the other planetary gear mechanism 8 idles. When the output shaft 6 rotates in the same direction with the rotation from input shaft 4, although the rotation of the output shaft 6 is transmitted only to the sun gear 38 of the one planetary gear mechanism 8, planetary gears 40 meshing with the sun gear 38, to which the rotation of the output shaft 6 is transmitted, idle so that transmission of the rotation to the input shaft 4 is cut off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
