Abstract:
In order to stably maintain a combustion capability in a combustion furnace for coal gassification purpose, it is necessary to stably exhaust molten slag produced within the furnace so as not to be stagnated. The present invention provides a combustion furnace for coal gassification purpose, which is constructed in such manner that cooling of molten slag exhausted from a combustion furnace for coal gassification purpose may be minimized and thereby the molten slag produced in the combustion furnace may be stably exhausted. A slag exhausting device (1) is disposed at the center of a bottom portion (5) of a combustor (4), this slag exhausting device (1) has an upper bank (2) opened upwards with a flare angle ( theta ) of 30 DEG - 45 DEG and a cylindrical lower portion (3), and among a height (H) of the upper bank (2), a height (L) and a diameter (ds) of the cylindrical lower portion (3) and a diameter (D) of the combustor (4) are maintained the relations of ds/D = 0.2 - 0.4, L/ds = 0.2 - 0.6 and H/D = 0.05 - 0.15.
