Abstract:
To provide a coated cutting tool excellent in durability.SOLUTION: There is provided a coated cutting tool having a hard film on the surface of a substrate. The hard film is nitride including Al of 50 atomic% or more and Cr of 30 atomic% or more based on total amount of metallic elements, and an Ar content is 0.02 atomic% or less. In the hard film, the atomic ratio A of the metallic element and that ratio B of nitrogen satisfy the relation of 1.02≤B/A≤1.10, and the diffraction peak resulting from a fcc(111) plane indicates a maximum intensity in the intensity profile of a limited field diffraction pattern. In the cross-section observation of the hard film, the droplet having an equivalent circle diameter of 3 μm or more is less than one piece per 100 μm2. In the surface of the hard film, the value of an arithmetic average curvature Spc (1/mm) of a crest point regulated by ISO25178 is 5,000 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
