PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated steel sheet having excellent corrosion resistance and alkali resistance and maintaining corrosion resistance even under a strong alkaline corrosive environment.SOLUTION: The coated steel sheet has a steel sheet, a chemically treated film formed on the surface of the steel sheet, a primer coating film formed on the surface of the chemically treated film and a top coating film formed on the surface of the primer coating film. The chemically treated film comprises a fluoride of titanium or a fluoride of zirconium, an oxide of titanium or a hydroxide of titanium and an oxide of zirconium or a hydroxide of zirconium. The primer coating film comprises an organic resin, a rust preventing pigment consisting of one or two compounds selected from the group consisting of magnesium phosphate and zirconium phosphate, and barium sulfate.
