Abstract:
To provide a coil component capable of obtaining a high saturation magnetic flux density and a high Q value even in the high frequency region of switching frequency.SOLUTION: In a coil component 100 including a coil 15 around which an insulation coated wire is wound, and a composite magnetic body 20 for embedding the wire, the composite magnetic body contains metal magnetic powder pulverizing a metal magnetic material, and binder resin, and the average particle size D(μm) of the metal magnetic powder satisfies following formula (1). D≤2.192×(Fmax)×ρ... (1), where Fmax is the use upper limit frequency (MHz) at which the Q value exceeds the maximum value and begins to decrease when the application frequency to the coil component is increased, and ρ is the electrical resistivity (μΩ cm) of the metal magnetic material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
