Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a bendable magnetic card superior in secrecy which is scarecely curled and worn regardless of repeated flexural deformation for insertion to a card reader device and can be used for a long time without peeling of a coating resin layer.

CONSTITUTION: An elastic metal plate made of a nonmagnetic body is folded and combined to form a metal layer 2. Magnetic codes 6 are formed on the folded inside face of the elastic metal plate and are shielded from the outside. A slit 7 is formed in the metal layer 2. The top and the bottom of the metal layer 2 are coated with a resin layer 4, and upper and lower resin layers are melt-fixed by heating in edge parts 11 of the metallic layer 2 and the part of the slit 7.
