PURPOSE: To reduce a working stroke for a shift lock pin and to eliminate a lever mechanism on the side of a brake lock mechanism in a shift lock device of an automatic transmission for a vehicle of a push-pull cable actuation type.
CONSTITUTION: A pin lock mechanism is constituted of a cam plate 70 main body free to revolve in the vertical direction, an engagement groove 70b to engage with a shift lock pin 13 at a groove part (p) position corresponding to a parking range of a guide plate 3 provided on the cam plate 70 main body, a ratchet groove provided on another part of the cam plate 70 and a ratchet 73a to obstruct rotation of the cam plate 70 main body downward at the time when it is engaged with the ratchet groove after engaging with it. In correspondence with a lock motion or an unlock motion through a push cable of a key lock mechanism or a brake lock mechanism, the ratchet 73a is engaged with the ratchet groove or an engaged state is released.
