Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a communication device and a method of controlling communication capable of improving the performance and the communication efficiency of a network in which burst error is predicted. [Solution] Provided are a retransmission timer (103) which determines whether or not an acknowledgement (ACK) to transmission data was received from a receiving side device (20) before a predetermined time has passed since transmission of the transmission data, a congestion window determination unit (106) which when the acknowledgement is not received in the predetermined time, sets a congestion window having a larger size than the congestion window size that was set before the predetermined time had passed, and a data transmission unit (101) which transmits data to be transmitted within the set congestion window.
