Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device for connection with an analog line, capable of reducing increase in the communication time when the communication device for connection with an analog line performs facsimile communication through the IP network.SOLUTION: A communication device has waiting for signal processing means for waiting the incoming of facsimile communication from an opposite device via an analog line, and receiving a notification of calling terminal identification information for identifying the calling opposite device from the analog line upon reception of an incoming call, and communication parameter setting means for determining whether or not the opposite device is a communication device connected with an IP telephone, on the basis of the calling terminal identification information, and notifying the opposite device of a signal for prohibiting ECM in facsimile communication, when the opposite device is a communication device connected with an IP telephone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
