PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of readily controlling the operation of multiple types of object apparatuses with different data communication specification.SOLUTION: A communication system comprises multiple types of object apparatuses with different data communication specification, a communication apparatus, and a request apparatus for transmitting request data. The communication apparatus includes: a transmission/reception unit; a storage unit for storing apparatus data representing a specific object apparatus to be controlled and command data representing command contents to have the specific object apparatus perform for each type of multiple pieces of request data; and an operation control unit for identifying a specific object apparatus and command contents to have the specific object apparatus perform corresponding to request data. The operation control unit determines data communication specification on the basis of the identified specific object apparatus and determines an operation command. The transmission/reception unit transmits the operation command to the specific object apparatus by using the data communication specification. The specific object apparatus performs operation according to the received operation command.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
