Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size apparatus capable of facilitating replacement of a reference thermometer and a calibration object thermometer without using a dynamic component in the apparatus for performing comparison/calibration with the reference thermometer at any temperature within a range of from 123 K to 223 K.SOLUTION: A low-temperature comparison/calibration apparatus 1 employs a liquid-oxygen or liquid-nitrogen liquefied gas 13 as a cooling source, and an electric heater 7 as a heating mechanism, and includes a temperature calibration block 6 with a high-heat-conductivity metal defined as a material, at the inside of the electric heater 7, where the electric heater 7, the temperature calibration block 6, and the liquefied gas 13 are separated from one another by a cylindrical heat insulator 5. The comparison and calibration is performed by causing the electric heater 7 to control a temperature of the temperature calibration block 6 to a comparison/calibration temperature and measuring outputs of a reference thermometer 14 and a calibration object thermometer 15 inserted in a bottomed insertion hole 61 of the block 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
