Abstract:
To provide a filter where clogging is hardly caused, a large amount of a culture solution can be treated, filtration pressure can be lowered and a filtration rate can be enlarged when clarifying a cell culture solution.SOLUTION: Composite materials 11, 12 are produced by integrating a thermoplastic composite fiber consisting of at least two kinds of thermoplastic resins having different melting points with diatomite. A filter medium includes the composite materials. The two kinds of thermoplastic resins having different melting points are preferably polypropylene and polyethylene. Diatomite containing the thermoplastic composite fiber as a binder is preferably held in the composite materials.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
