Abstract:

To provide a composition for forming an electrode in a solar cell that can maintain high conductivity and a high reflection factor even after a long use and can obtain an electrode having improved aging stability, to provide a formation method of the electrode, and to provide a solar cell using the electrode obtained by the formation method.

In the composition for forming an electrode in a solar cell, metallic nanoparticles are dispersed in a dispersion medium. The metallic nanoparticles comprise not less than 75 wt.% silver nanoparticles and have been chemically modified with a protective agent whose carbon skeleton comprises a protective agent of an organic molecule principal chain having 1-3 carbons. Further, the metallic nanoparticles comprise metallic nanoparticles having a primary particle diameter in a range of 10-50 nm, in a proportion of not less than 70% by number on the average.
