Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling a surface material layer composed of polyvinyl chloride of vinyl chloride resin-based wall paper and a backing layer through a prescribed treatment without separating them.SOLUTION: A waste material of vinyl chloride resin-based wall paper in which the surface material layer is composed of a polyvinyl chloride resin and the backing material layer is composed of pulp fibers are joined and integrated is pulverized into a screen mesh of ≤4 mm without separating the surface material layer and backing material layer. An acrylic-modified polytetrafluoroethylene as a polyvinyl chloride modifier in an amount of 5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the resultant pulverized material, and, as necessary, a prescribed amount of various additives for plastics are compounded to carry out solid mixing. Pressurizing is then performed with a sheet molding apparatus composed of a combination of an extruder/a T die/a polishing roll. The resultant mixture is molded into a sheet of a prescribed thickness. The obtained sheet is applied to a backing material and a center material of a sheet or a tile-type vinyl chloride flooring material, a backing material of a flooring, a sound insulating sheet, or a plastic pallet.
