PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressed air storage power generating method which efficiently smooths changing electric power even after compressed air is stored to the storage capacity of a storage space.SOLUTION: A compressed air storage power generating method includes a first air compression step, a first air storage step, a first air supply step, a first power generating step, a first heat exchange step, a heating medium storage step, a second heat exchange step, and an air release step. In the air release step, when an amount of compressed air stored in a pressure accumulation tank 12 exceeds a predetermined amount during the first air storage step, the air compressed by a first compressor 10 is discharged to the outside without being stored in the pressure accumulation tank 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
