Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression ratio calculation device capable of calculating a compression ratio for each cylinder while suppressing an increase in the number of constituent components.SOLUTION: A compression ratio calculation device 30 for calculating a compression ratio for each cylinder 11 of an internal combustion engine 10, the engine 10 being provided with a fuel injection valve 24 injecting fuel into each cylinder 11, comprises: injection execution means for executing a predetermined injection for causing the fuel injection valve 24 to inject the fuel of a predetermined quantity at injection timing at which a variation in a rise quantity of an engine rotating speed by combustion of the fuel for a variation of the compression ratio is greater than a threshold; rise-quantity calculation means for calculating the rise quantity of the engine rotating speed by the combustion of the fuel of the predetermined quantity when the injection execution means executes the predetermined injection; and compression-ratio calculation means for calculating the compression ratio for each cylinder 11 on the basis of the rise quantity of the engine rotating speed which has been calculated by the rise-quantity calculation means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
