Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the flow of passengers after an event with a high degree of accuracy on the basis of the flow of the passengers before the event no matter what event takes place.SOLUTION: A device for predicting congestion comprises: a storage unit for storing transport user information containing passengers' transport use history; and a control unit which receives information indicating stops of transport near an event site, calculates how many more passengers got off at the stops before the event start time on the event day compared with the number of passengers who get off on an average day other than the event day by referring to the transport user information, and predicts congestion after the event end time on the basis of the calculated increases in the number of passengers.
