To provide a π-conjugated polymer having side chains, soluble in an organic solvent, free from the lowering of the glass transition temperature of the whole polymer in spite of the presence of the side chain, exhibiting excellent charge transfer property as an organic thin film element and having excellent high-temperature durability.
The π-conjugated polymer 300 having dendrite branches on the side chain is composed of a main chain 200 composed of a π-conjugated polymer and at least one side-chain compound bonded to the main chain. At least one of the side chain compound is a π-conjugated dendric branched compound 200 having the 1st to n-th generation branch units (n is 1 or an integer of ≥2, and shows the generation number of the terminal branch unit) bonded to and grown from a core unit in a manner to be successively branched in dendric form in order of the generation.
