Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft capable of visually recognizing an engaged state of a circlip, and a connection method for the propeller shaft.SOLUTION: A propeller shaft comprises a shaft part interposed between an input shaft and an output shaft 3 that are a pair of vehicle side rotating shafts; a cylindrical part 30 being integrally rotatable with the shaft part and inserted with the pair of vehicle side rotating shafts at its inner peripheral side; through-holes 31 and 32 being formed so as to pass through a partial peripheral direction range of the cylindrical part 30 and facing an engaging groove 14 provided at outer peripheral sides of the vehicular rotating shafts in a state in which the vehicular side rotating shafts are inserted at the inner peripheral side of the cylindrical part 30 in a radial direction; and a circlip 8 being fitted to the cylindrical part 30 from an outer peripheral side, and provided with a part in a peripheral direction surrounding the outer periphery side of the cylindrical part 30 and the other part in the peripheral direction facing the inner peripheral side via the through-holes 31 and 32 and capable of being inserted into the engaging groove 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
