Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external apparatus discrimination device for appropriately discriminating an external apparatus that is connected to a jack.SOLUTION: A jack 120 is connected to a CPU 110. A plug of a microphone 200 or a cable release 300 is inserted into the jack 120. When a plug 210 or a plug 310 is inserted deep, a potential of a signal electrode t1 is changed. The CPU 110 detects an insertion state of the plug based on an insertion detection signal from the jack 120. When it is detected by the insertion detection signal that the plug is completely inserted, the CPU 110 discriminates whether an external apparatus is the microphone 200 or the cable release 300, from the potential of the signal electrode t1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
