Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod and an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A connecting rod 10 includes a crank pin bearing eye 11 for fixing the connecting rod to a crank shaft, a connecting rod bearing eye 12 for fixing the connecting rod to a piston, and an eccentric adjustment device 13 for adjusting a connecting rod effective length. The eccentric adjustment device has eccentric rods 15, 16 engaged with an eccentric lever 14. Each of the eccentric rods is provided with pistons 20, 21 guided in hydraulic chambers 22, 23 of the connecting rod. It is possible to fill hydraulic oil from a first hydraulic pipe assembled into a crank shaft into the hydraulic chamber where the pistons are guided therein. The first hydraulic pipe is connected with the crank pin bearing eye through the second hydraulic pipes 24, 25 and a check valve for preventing reverse flow of hydraulic oil returning from the hydraulic chamber to the second hydraulic pipes, and a filter element prevents contaminant from immersing from the crank shaft to the hydraulic chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
