Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical connector capable of stably administering intravenous fluids without causing injury of a skin of a patient or twist of an infusion tube.SOLUTION: A medical connector 1 includes: a male connector 3 or 7 having a connecting tube 31 or 71, and a lock part 32 or 73 with a female screw 33 or 74 formed around an inner peripheral surface; a hollow cylindrical part 51 or 61 having an inner peripheral surface 53 or 62 shaped along an outer peripheral surface of a connecting tube 31 or 71; and a female connector 5 or 6 having a projection part 54 or 63 threadedly engaged with the female screw part 33 or 74. The medical connector further includes a hollow cylindrical connecting part 52 or 72 integrally formed with the female connector 5 or the male connector 7, communicated to the hollow cylindrical part 51 or the connecting tube 71, and connected to the connector body 4. The connecting part 52 or 72 includes an inner peripheral surface 55 or 75 shaped along the outer peripheral surface of the connector body 4, and is rotatably externally-fitted around the connector body 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
