Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for fuel battery electrode formation which is used as a composition for fuel battery electrode formation, and arranged by use of an oxide-based non-platinum catalyst, and achieves good dispersibility of a carbon material making a catalyst or conductive assistant, and has storage stability and suitability to coating, and to provide, by use of the composition, a fuel battery catalyst layer less in the occurrence of coating unevenness and the occurrence of pin holes when coating therewith, a fuel battery electrode membrane assembly having such a fuel battery catalyst layer, and a fuel battery superior in battery performance.SOLUTION: A composition for fuel battery electrode formation comprises: an aqueous resin type dispersant (A); at least one of a carbon material (B) serving as a conductive assistant and/or oxide-based non-platinum catalyst (C); and an aqueous liquid medium (D). The aqueous resin type dispersant (A) has an acid functional group, of which the acid value is 50-720 mgKOH/g.
