To provide a compact construction sludge volume reduction device having excellent mixing efficiency between waste muddy water separated from construction sludge and a flocculant, and further capable of installing within a construction site, and to provide a method for treating construction sludge or waste muddy water using the device.
The construction sludge volume reduction device is at least integrally or continuously equipped with: a flocculant addition unit where a flocculant is added; a stirring/mixing unit 9 performing stirring/mixing while successively rolling down the waste muddy water separated from the construction sludge and the flocculant from a high position to a low position by gravity; and a dewatering unit such as a belt press 10 dewatering the mixture.
