Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for efficiently reducing and removing nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas which is discharged from a diesel engine or is generated from various lean-burn engines, a boiler or the like and contains steam and high concentration of oxygen, and to provide a production method for the catalyst.SOLUTION: A catalyst for selectively reducing and removing nitrogen oxides comprises a compound oxide consisting of tin oxide and aluminum oxide, is obtained by dispersing/depositing tin oxide nanoparticles of 10 nm or smaller on the surface of the aluminum oxide, and is used in an oxidative atmosphere in the presence of steam and excess oxygen while using a reducing agent. The production method for the catalyst is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
