To provide a method for continuously synthesizing a metal complex capable of continuously synthesizing an organometallic complex luminescent element material in a short period of time by microwave heating.
This method for continuously synthesizing the organometallic complex luminescent element material includes microwave-heating a reactive solution by irradiation of an electromagnetic wave having a wavelength range of 900 MHz-30 GHz to the reactive solution flowing through a flow tube installed in a microwave irradiation space. In the method, the organometallic complex luminescent element material comprises: a transition metal or rare earth element; and a complex composed of at least one organic ligand. The microwave heating is performed by a chemical reaction method using the microwave in the flow tube, the inside of which is processed into a capillary or non-smooth shape and/or structure.
