Title:
The control device and controller of many cylinder internal combustion engines
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6184834
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine control device capable of transitioning a cylinder stop range (cylinder-reduced range) to a range closer to an engine high torque side while maintaining power consumption effect, and therefore further improving power consumption performance when a vehicle actually travels.SOLUTION: A multi-cylinder internal combustion engine control device includes: a cylinder stop mechanism that can stop activating intake valves and exhaust valves of partial cylinders among a plurality of cylinders; and a variable compression ratio mechanism that can change a mechanical compression ratio of each of all the cylinders. Operation ranges include a cylinder-reduced operation range in which the cylinder stop mechanism stops activating the intake valves and the exhaust valves of the partial cylinders, and a full-cylinder operation range in which engine valves of all the cylinders are activated. If an engine operation state changes from the cylinder-reduced operation range near an engine low torque side to the full-cylinder operation range near an engine high torque side, the variable compression ratio mechanism changes the mechanical compression ratio from a first mechanical compression ratio that is relatively low to a second mechanical compression ratio that is relatively high.
