Abstract:

To provide a control device for a direct injection type hydrogen fueled engine capable of eliminating freezing in a hydrogen injection valve while ensuring the stable startability of the engine.

The control device for the direct injection type hydrogen fueled engine provided with a hydrogen injection valve controlled to open/close by the supply of a driving current to inject gaseous hydrogen directly into an working chamber, increases the driving current supplied to the hydrogen injection valve at the low temperature start of the hydrogen fueled engine. The increase degree of the driving current is corrected according to a parameter related to the frozen state in the hydrogen fueled engine. In supplying the increased driving current, a shut-off valve provided upstream of the hydrogen injection valve and shutting off the supply of gaseous hydrogen to the hydrogen injection valve is put in a closed state. Further, in supplying the increased driving current, ignition to a mixture in the working chamber in the hydrogen fueled engine is stopped.
