Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a torque fluctuation of an engine in response to a state of EGR gas remaining in an intake air path if the engine changes to an acceleration operation after a deceleration operation and EGR restarts.SOLUTION: An EGR device of an engine 1 including a supercharger 7 includes: an EGR path 17 returning a part of exhaust gas discharged from a combustion chamber 16 to an exhaust path 5 into the combustion chamber 16 as EGR gas; and an EGR valve 18 adjusting a flow of the EGR gas in the EGR path 17. The EGR path 17 has an inlet 17b connected to the exhaust path 5 downstream of a turbine 9, and an outlet 17a connected to an intake air path 3 upstream of a compressor 8. An electronic control unit (ECU) 50 calculates an amount and a change of the EGR gas remaining in the intake air path 3 upstream of a throttle valve 21 when the engine 1 performs a deceleration operation. Further, the ECU 50 delays opening of the EGR valve 18 until the amount of the remaining EGR gas decreases to a predetermined amount so as to prevent engine torque down when the engine 1 changes to an acceleration operation after the deceleration operation.
