Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a premixed compression ignition type engine, which can avoid the release of ozone into the atmosphere even when the temperature of a catalyst device is low, in the case where the ozone is produced till the fuel supply is stopped when the engine is stopped.SOLUTION: At the time of stopping an engine, when the temperature of a catalyst device arranged in an exhaust passage is lower than a predetermined reference temperature and when an ozone producer is activated till the fuel supply is stopped (F/C start), the number of excesses of the entire end over the compression top dead center (TDC) of the engine rotation speed of the engine after the fuel supply was stopped (F/C start) to till the engine revolution speed falls the reference engine speed (B) is increased to higher than the numbers (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) of compressions, at which the gas of the capacity of the suction passage from the ozone generator to the entrance of each cylinder is compressed.
