Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device which atomizes fuel using gas suitable for reforming and sprays the atomized fuel over a reforming catalyst installed in an exhaust reflux passage.SOLUTION: A control device 2 of an engine 1 comprises: an EGR pipe 31 which communicates a low exhaust pressure section of an exhaust pipe 13 with an intake pipe 12; a reforming catalyst converter 71 which is installed in the EGR pipe 31 and generates hydrogen by reforming fuel; and an atomizer 72 which is installed in the EGR pipe 31 at an upstream side of the reforming catalyst converter 71 and sprays the fuel over the reforming catalyst converter 71. Reformed gas containing the hydrogen generated in the reforming catalyst converter 71 is introduced into a combustion chamber of the engine 1. The atomizer 72 atomizes the fuel using exhaust flowing in a high exhaust pressure section of the exhaust pipe 13 with higher pressure than the low exhaust pressure section thereof and sprays the fuel over the reforming catalyst converter 71.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
