Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To scavenge the inside of an intake pipe in which an EGR gas remains in a short time when deceleration-operating an internal combustion engine in which supercharging by a compressor and the introduction of the EGR gas via an LPL-EGR pipe are performed.SOLUTION: In the case that a deceleration requirement arises during the execution of EGR control, when an operation condition of a supercharged engine after the closing of an LPL-EGR pipe 21 is transited to a prescribed operation condition, the LPL-EGR pipe 21 is opened once again, and control for opening an air bypass pipe 61 is performed. Since an EGR gas flows back in the LPL-EGR pipe 21 under the prescribed operation condition, the EGR gas which remains in an intake pipe 3 is made to flow back in the LPL-EGR pipe 21, and can be returned to an exhaust pipe 4 by opening the LPL-EGR pipe 21 when the operation condition of the supercharged engine is transited to the prescribed operation condition. By opening the air bypass pipe 61, pressure in the intake pipe 3 at an upstream side rather than the compressor 51 is raised, and the backflow of the EGR gas can be promoted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
