Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of reducing an amount of smoke caused by oxygen deficiency in a combustion field.SOLUTION: An engine 1 includes a variable capacity type turbocharger 11 having a nozzle vane 11v, and a fuel injection valve 4 for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber 71. A control device 80 controls a boost pressure by adjusting an opening of the nozzle vane 11v. Further, the control device 80 calculates a local air-fuel ratio which is an air-fuel ratio in a combustion field of the fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 4. The control device 80 increases the boost pressure of intake air supercharged by the turbocharger 11 when the calculated local air-fuel ratio is richer than a predetermined required air-fuel ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
